How to make a neat and tidy clicky

I know this is a very basic task (and I have searched the forums only for the search facility to bring up every clicky listed, rather than how to make them)
Please would someone spare a minute to let me know how to do one of the neat and tidy clickies where you have a highlighted word rather than the untidy html link.

I can manage now to make the link but this is what I get - it still shows the post number etc and not just the word.

When you want to create a link type said word and then highlight the website you want to link to then highlight said word and click the picture of a globe with what looks like a paperclip and delete the text in the box and paste in the website link and click ok and click submit reply0
