Brushed Chrome Fluorescent Tube light?

HI

Looking to get rid of the 250w spots in the Kitchen and replace with a Fluorescent strip but white ones dont look great, does anyone know where i can find some smarter tube casings? I have tried Screwfix, Homebase, B&Q etc

Thanks, doesnt necessarily have to be brushed chrome, just a modern fitting that isnt a bog standard white one and would look a good replacement for the GU10 spots that are currently in our Kitchen - want more all round light without 200w of light racking up my bill!
  • I have one of these in the silver finish and I am very happy with it - I bought daylight tubes to go in it.

Have you considered energy efficient GU10s? I recently fitted some Megaman GU10s CFLs to replace some old 12V halogens, once they've warmed up they are very bright, good colour temperature (3000K). Cost ~£13 each for the bulb and the fitting (slightly longer than regular GU10). Plus it would save on having to fill in the holes in the ceiling.

I was in Focus today and saw a rather nice light which was suspended. I've trawled their stupid website and cannot find it. It hangs from the ceiling and the tube is held in a brushed steel fitting with curved ends. It was quite smart. Perhaps if you have a local one it would be worth popping in.
I don't even remember the price. Good luck
