I used to use Schwarzcff Live Red Passion, it does fade but if you use the right shampoos and spray it keeps it for that bit longer. I have to wash my hair everyday though with it being short and going to the training so prob fades a bit quicker for me.

I have just swopped to a darker loreal red though but for the life of me I cant think what the colour is called. It lasts longer than the schwarzcoff though with it being darker.

Not sure whther these colours will go onto a black colour very well though, my mum is a hairdresser and has mentioned something about this to me but I weren't listening proper. Might be an idea to speak to a hairdresser first.
  • Was going to wait until the black either washed out or faded a bit. It's only a semi from Boots.

I'd say salon colours fade less then home colours from my (nearly 15 year!) experience. .

Not for me. I have dark brown hair with purple streaks. 2 salons tried and failed to put a dye over bleach that would grab.

Did it myself in the end with jerome russell bleach and schwartzkopf live purple dye and it lasts absolutely ages. still getting compliments and it's at least 3.5 months since i last did them :j

I really rate Feria for the condition it leaves my hair in and the intense red. I tried the XXL but I didn't like it as it faded too quickly. The only thing you need to remember is to add the colour booster to the mixture BEFORE you use it! So many times I've forgotten and the results are still good but they can be brighter when using the colour booster in the pack.

How odd: I used Feria for a few months before Schwartzkopf Live and found the opposite!
