hi guys,
im hoping one of our resident moneysaving experts might be able to help us plan and get the best deal for our honeymoon at the end of march.
our original plan was to fly into san francisco, spend a few days there, before driving to LA for a day or 2, and then finishing off in vegas. we're hoping to be able to contirbute towards this with the £100 of clubcard vouchers we've got, but not sure if the best deals will be had through virgin or not.
any tips of words of advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi,
Sorry if this is completely unhelpful but if you are booking through Virgin Holidays it might be worth join the flying club first, they give 5% off holidays most months and sometimes 10% off. If you aren't a member I can send you an invite which would give you (and me) bonus miles if you wanted, or you can join directly through the virgin atlantic website. Also sometimes it is possible to purchase Virgin Vouchers from ebay to make the cost cheaper still. Anyway, I know that I haven't answered the clubcard voucher aspect of your post but hopefully you might find this helpful :-D0 -
if you're considering booking through Virgin Holidays the first thing to do is to price up the flights and hotel separately booking each direct rather than as VH package...I've never, ever, ever seen VH not mark the price up dramatically...way more than 5 or 10% you could save using the various methods. In most cases I've seen, the VH price effectively doubles the price of the hotel from booking direct or thereabouts.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

You could convert to airmiles as there's currently a double miles offer for first time conversions- £100 would give 4800 miles. I just checked the airmiles website and you can get 3 nights at the 4* Hilton in San Francisco for 5400 miles in march0

Sorry think that was actually 4 nights!!!0

Ba has a sale on at the minute, a flight into San Francisco on 28 march and back from las vegas on 10 April is £601 each, which may mean it's cheaper to do it independently.0

Be very careful of any hotels with the zipcode 94102 they are really good hotels and you will see give away prices.
Look on wikipedia and type in "Tenderloin San Francisco" the first paragraph will tell you all you need to know. All I will ad is that they "target" tourists.
Coit Tower is worth a look when you get there! Stunning viewsEbay 13
