I applied for & got a Silver Mastercard from Sygma at the beginning of december, i just logged into my Equifax accont and found a new search by Sygma which worries me a bit.
SYGMA BANK UK (FRAUD) , a Retailer company, has made an inquiry against your credit report on 30/12/2009 . If you were not aware of or did not consent to this search, contact SYGMA BANK UK (FRAUD) or Equifax for clarification
Should i be really worried by this? Does this mean a fraud marker has been placed on my file?

Yes, it did say they would get back to me. Phew, so that's ok then? When you have worked so very hard to build a good credit record the word Fraud strikes terror in you.I have finally managed to get my first Prime cards and want to keep it that way.

Thanks for replying to me.0 -
I have just had a similar Sygma Bank UK Fraud enquiry on my credit rating a couple of days ago - no idea what it is about as I have not applied for any new credit or store card.
I will contact Sygma, but in the meantime should I be concerned?0 -
Only as worried as the OP who asked the same question answered above
