Dont know if this is the case anywhere else but when i was still at uni and before we moved up north in with OHs parents last year, our local council was a bit funny about people requesting to pay over 12 months - when we asked to they actually wanted us to provide proof of how much we were struggling
That's really cheeky...they've no grounds to ask for info like that. I just think that it makes it easier for them to tally things up at the end of the financial year if they've got 2 months to get their act together.gilligansyle wrote: »On the fridge freezer thing, if you do need a new one, have a look at your local council. Ours have a company that tries to recycle white goods, gives employment to youngsters and then sells them on.
Council tax payments, don't most people pay them over 12 months now?
I think the idea of your council doing is a good one, keep youngsters busy whilst learning a new skill...well done to your council!
I pay mine over 12months because I couldn't afford to pay it, even over 12months it's £142.00 a monthWe also have an option to pay it over 12month. It's on the back of the first notice thingy they send you.

The recipe is in a baking book I bought for DD a while back.I think theyre pretty much "ginger nut biscuits" They taste a lot like gingerbread men but the mix is more sloppy and just dropped on the baking sheet.
Apparently you should "bang" the baking tray when you get it out the over to make them crinke :rotfl:
