    Evening all!

Am i the only one not enjoying the snow? Took me ages to get to work, car was snowed in, no trains running, and buses on minimum service. All the other shops in the town closed early, oh but not us - there til 6 (by which time there were no buses or trains at all).

People keep saying not to go to work, but i cant afford to have the time off! If i dont go in i dont get paid.

    Anyway whinge over.

no, it's not just you flower! it's lovely to look at, but a big pain in the bum when you have to go anywhere or do anything (other than sledding!). kids are STILL off school here and are just not playing nicely with each other. will be glad when the bloomin' stuff melts! :p

:hello: Hey Andy! Good to see you back. Glad you had a good hol

Green, thanks for finding Tomtom's recipe, i was going to look for that myself! A new baby and a slow cooker is deffo a good combination. Only snag is i've started expressing while he's asleep and i haven't mastered art of 1 handed veg chopping yet :p

glad you got back safely, andy! what luck that the airport was open for you... :j

thanks for posting the chili recipe again, it's so quick and easy and cheap! and you can modify it to make bolognese, too - really just leave out the chili and kidney beans & bung in some extra peppers...

PAD from me today is 50p to the sealed tin.

spent the morning scraping/shovelling/brushing the drive and defrosting the cars, feel better now as if we had needed to go anywhere in a hurry yesterday (my mum head always thinks of tragedies that require hospital visits...) we wouldn't have been able to . have even sprinkled a bit of salt on the drive so hopefully will be okay. i believe you can't buy salt for love nor money, but i have a huge tesco value bag that i bought ages ago for baking and haven't made a dent in! :o

stay safe and warm, everyone xxx

those frozen ready chopped bags of onions and peppers from Mr A's should be just the thing for you, then! ;) i use them when i'm in a hurry and although i have never properly costed them, i don't think they work out dearer than fresh ones... xx

  • Had sincere intentions of having a NSD yesterday & the snow put pay to that - ended up hiking to the O2 & holed up in one of the bars with a bottle of wine & a mate from work as we couldn't get home. LOL

Anyways loose change from yesterday & today of £2.41 to various tins.

Had the first round of my jabs for Thailand today one in each arm - double ouch - 2 more lots to go !
