I have to hand it to them; every time I think there are no possible new stealth taxes they go and come up with another!
When Blair said "government by the people for the people", he forgot to mention that "the people" was just a select few who could milk the rest of us.0 -

Have you seen how much "it costs" the Government to dish that money out??!!
It has been extorted for years......Not Again0 -
So by this all motorists fined for minor offenses are indirectly assumed to be guilty also of domestic/sexual violence as they are also being fined for this as well?
No of course it doesn't it is a way of finding money to help those less fortunate and does not mean the person fined has committed any other offence.Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -

Getting caught doing 35mph in a 30mph zone then being told to pay £15 to a domestic violence or sexual assualt victim is just plain odd and makes no sense. I have no problem with my taxes being used to provide services to victims of all sorts of problems in life, but a direct link between these two issues is just bizzaire.
I have a much better idea. When a man hits a woman, we should take his car, watch, TV, audio system and computer, put them on eBay and give the proceeds to his victim. Oh, and put him in jail for a bit too. With a big sign around his neck that says "I hit women".0 -
I don't really see the problem TBH
But, as suggested, perhaps more could be done to get money from offenders of the more serious crimesWe cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses. Carl Jung

What about when the women hits the man'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

I don't see how this should make any difference to the way they are issued?
Same as it always has been- if you agree to the offence you can pay up, if you disagree you can opt to have your case heard at magistrates. We cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses. Carl Jung
