Play and stupid packaging!

Small moan...

I've ordered a lot of T Shirts from play in the past, they don't arrive recorded and are posted in small plastic bags so they arrive with regular post.

DD ordered 2 shirts earlier in the week and they arrived today, both were packaged in big cardboard boxes that wouldnt fit through the letterbox and now have to come via the Van rather than the regular postie.

How daft is that!? Excess packaging and more work for already stressed parcel delivery guys, not to mention you will now have to go down to the sorting office to collect what used to fit through the letterbox.

Play are awful with their packaging, along with sending everything in individual packaging. It must cost them and the environment loads..!

The individual sending of items that williham mentioned will be because they are based in Jersey so they will presumably be trying to avoid/limit import duty the customers have to pay.

The sending of small items in large boxes is really rather stupid, especially for a company that sells many items that fit through letterboxes, not a great way to gain repeat custom.

    Lol, love it!

Just cannot for the life of me see the point in shipping a tiny, size 8 T Shirt in a ruddy great big box, especially when they haven't always done it that way!

I am not ordering from Play again, ordered a Pogo from them (little picture printer, you can print from the mobile) for daughters xmas pressie. They had just put it in a plastic envelope meaning the box was all dented and bashed, NOT a good look for a present!

Ive got to say my supplier annoyingly also over packages everything in individual envelopes. Thats why I have so much packaging left over and so much to give away

I bought two T-shirts from Play on one of their offers, and was surprised that they sent in separate boxes. Also, one was the hugest box ever but the other came in a box about the size of an old VHS video.

I've used Play.com for years and didn't mind the individual packaging. That was until they sent tiny items in huge boxes!

I have everything sent to my mother-in-laws (she runs her business from home so is always in) no post office visits anymore! :D

did they order 2 shirts or t-shirts?

if the former, they will be packaged differently by play, as they will be packaged differently already by their suppliers.
