in Credit cards
I have had a store card since 2002. It was opened when I was 17 and the limit was £400. I have made payments on this card every month since then. Often more than the minimum but obviously sometimes just that.
Is there anything I can do as I have not used the card to purchase for at least 3 years and the balance now is £496.49.
You don't get anywhere without asking

It sounds as if you have an horrific interest rate on that card.
If you can't afford to pay more than the minimum amount you'll never pay it off if you haven't made a purchase in 7 years!!
Could you get yourself a credit card with a 0% balance transfer offer. I think Virgin have a good one at the minute (16 months?) but check others.
If you can afford to pay about £33 a month at that rate, you'll have it paid off. (rough maths calculation?)
You're going nowhere with the present arrangement so I would definitely move the debt elsewhere.0 -
how did you get it if you were 17?0
