Ipod charging

Guys n Gals, is the USB port still "live" (i.e. able to charge an ipod) if the computer is in stand-by (hibernation) ?
It charges fine if leave computer on, just not sure if able to put in stand-by and it'll still charge.

No you ipod won't charge when your PC is hibernating.
You can easily prove this to yourself by observing the charge icon on the ipod.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

It depends on your computer. My Mac charges my iPod even when it's sleeping.0
