    I am not sure if the above was meant to be sarcastic - the original poster appears to have been trying to get this resolved for months. It shouldn't take publicly shaming the company concerned on an internet forum for the matter to be taken in hand.

    That said, in the cases which appear on these forums where the resolution is made privately with the original poster (it would be unprofessional not to mention inappropriate for BT or anyone else to post the reply to the enquirier back in a public forum so everyone can read their details) and thus the people reading these threads can never know whether the original issue is a 100% accurate description of what went wrong. I am not at all suggesting that cases are exaggerated or wrong, simply that only one side of the "argument" ever appears in public.
