a bit of advice re ITunes please?

Hi, OH got an IPod from Santa & is at present transferring his CD's. He has encountered a problem with one of them. When he downloaded it onto his PC, it came out as 19 separate songs, not as an album. Maybe its something to do with the album itself. Its the Best of the Faces. Now I thought because it is a compilation of the Faces hits & the tracks wern't originally all on one disc, maybe this is why its done this. Now does anyone know how to get all these 19 tracks onto one album in ITunes before he transferrs it to his IPod. BTW, it is a genuine CD, not a homemade compilation.

Do you mean that they don't all have the same name in their "album" field?
If so, select all the songs that you want to have together, open the information for them by right clicking and selecting "Get Info", then on the Info tab change the album field to the right name. That should sort it out

It often happens if the artist is listed as different for each track.
For exmaple my daughter loaded a Demi Lovato CD into iTunes and it listed one track as being a dfferent album as it was by Demi Lovato featuring someone else. Editting the artist info resolved it.It's my problem, it's my problem

All the tracks have the same album name & same artist name, just that they are 19 separate tracks. At first they were listed as Track 1, track 2 etc, but I clicked "get track name" & now all the tracks have their correct title. Any more ideas???:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0
