im looking to purchase a new to me pc, ive seen a few refurbished ones on pc world web site.

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1524341576.1262427768@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccgfadejffflhiecflgceggdhhmdgmi.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=037080&category_oid=-37532

this one is for sale for £249.

what is this like for gameplay, and for general use.

i really cant afford more than £250 for a base unit but want something that is good for game play and will keep me happy for a year or 3.

  • what sort of games? That one should be fine for minesweeper, though it may struggle on "hard" with its large grids :)

i have to agree about this not being a gaming system, as it does not specify any form of dedicated graphics card,

also £250 is a very tight budget for getting a system suitable for gaming, this said you would be better off building your own if you can and you can recycle some of your old components if you have them, the biggest problem will be a operating system which for windows you are looking at about £80 on its own unless you own a retail copy of a previous one
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)
