Working out electricity consumption in new property
Hi,
I'm finally flying the nest and will be moving into a 2 bed flat soon. I obviously want to be on the cheapest electricity I can be from the word go. However, how do I find what tariff would be best for me when I don't have a previous years worth of bills to go by? Four people moved into the property when I rented it out last year, and I'll be living on my own, so I can't really judge it by their useage. It's also got storage heating and no gas.
Thanks for any help

The simple answer is you can't work it out. In any case you will have to initially use the present supplier and a switch will take several weeks.
You best bet is to go to a comparison website and estimate 10,000kWh with 60% of that total on economy 7(cheap rate) Then try variations on that percentage - 50%, 70%.
Then do the same exercise with, say, 12,000kWh
A pattern will emerge of who is likely to be cheapest. In all probability there won't be too much difference between the top 2 or 3 tariffs.0
