wrongly described goods

Hi all,
i am new to this site so please be gently with me please
i bought a whirlpool bath of the internet from a UK shop and i paid extra (71pounds) 4 led lights to be in the bath but when sparky came to wire the bath up he said these lights are a cheap capless bulb type
that u slot the bulb in the holder and turn it into the light fitting can i claim please help

    If what you say is correct you can claim a refund if you wish. This would be under thee sale of goods act and consumer direct will give you more info on this on their website.

    Wouldn't it become a custom product? So the custom product rules apply?

    Why can he claim a refund, the product isn't faulty or not as described. :confused:

    well if the option is actually listed as an extra then it would not be custom as such. And even if it was the goods are not what was requested so this makes little difference to the OP's rights.

    I agree with this. My brother has one of these baths - it looks very nice, but the electrics behind it are as described by the OP.

    so you both consider halogen/incandescent lighting and LED lighting the same? A small difference but if you request and pay for LED you would expect to get it.....

    My mistake, when I glanced through his post I didn't notice the LED reference. Hopefully the OP might come back and post a bit more detail regarding exactly what and from whom he ordered.
