I survived a visit to the inlaws but worked out in car on way home that Monday is not a bank holiday and so I needed Mon and Tues as leave from work, not just one of them! I've sent my boss an email to say I will be in on Weds, and may have put my holiday form in wrongly. Fingers crossed it is OK - I'm not going in on Monday as I will never submit my uni work if I do. As it is we stayed longer than planned at in laws and I am way behind where I wanted to be so I am down to praying I get enough marks from it for a resubmit with some feedback and more time instead of needing to repeat the module, pay another £800 or more and use holiday to do the lectures again. Please pray/cross your fingers that this works out for me.

I'm just having a food and MSE break then back to studying. I'll probably be back here later on a cup of tea break.

I'd have to guess though - there are a lot of houses I'd have to knock on :rotfl:

Did you see my FB message that I was over your way? The car I went to see last weekend was in deepest darkest Weybiza. The dealer was a twonk head but I mentioned it at work and by huge coincidence someone in the office knew of him by reputation and called him an obnxious git and a !!!! :rotfl: Can't see he sells many cars and the one I went to see is still for sale - silly man, he could have sold it if he hadn't had a strop at OH's offer (although OH then having a pride related huff at the dealer didn't help either  )

  • Well, 2 church services have finished Christmas for me which seems ironic. Al full of new beginnings, new starts, hope, optimism etc. No wonder loads of suicides happen tomorrow - it's all the folks like me wondering what planet the others are on. :rotfl:
Can't even pay my usual visit to friend for a quick glass as the roads are so blooming awful.
    Humph!

BB - were you coming to see me? :rotfl: Thought not!

I could stand in the middle of your town and shout Bookieeeeeeeeeeeee until you arrived, or alternatively bang on each door and ask if you have a bottle brush in your garden because my friend has one and I'm trying to find her?:rotfl:

just reading about the bad weather. Apparently there are about 30 people who went to a pub high in the Yorkshire Moors on New Years Eve and have been stuck there ever since because of snow.

Now, that's the kind of place to get stuck for 3 days
i heard that earlier today and that the landlord was charging a nominal £10 per person per night for the pleasure of being held hostage to snow!

he should be glad I wasn't there as the pub would be drank dry by now!
