RUNTIME ERROR What does it mean?

There seems to be a problem with this computer connected to Internet explorer.
If I open that browser I get the following message:

" RUNTIME ERROR

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application support team for more information. "


Can someone help me with this please


I can use Google Chrome but want to know what the above is all about.

It means what it says - there was a program error. With any luck this will be in one of the add on programs such as the flashplayer. If you aren't using IE8 yet it is probably worth downloading and installing it.

In the IE menu Tools/Internet Options/Programs/Manage Add Ons will allow you to disable add ons in turn to identify which one is causing the problem then you can download the latest version and install that (or just do the lot).

I agree with kwikbreaks. It is probably an issue with one or more addins.

Follow instructions here to narrow down the search for the offending item(s).
