hmm...my computer is only a few months old, and i keep getting the message saying "extracting files failed....may be due to low memory" something along those lines .
Whats wrong?

From here it looks like you may need more RAM becuase its low on virtual memory, am I on target at all

how do i go about increasing the virtual memory ? i've never had this problem before and i dont even have much installed on this computer, very bizarre

First of all how much ram do you have?

Right click the My Computer icon, Properties, how much is displayed.

My PC model is Packard Bell iMedia 1307 but its not on the list

hang on... my computer actually has 256MB RAM, so why does it come up as 192MB RAM when i click on My Computer > Properties ??
