I kicked up a fuss with Ryan as they wanted me to be induced at 10 days and I said no and they said I could wait till 14 days but I also said NO so they had booked me in for a scan on 14 days over to access if I could leave it longer - they gave me loads of grief about it though but you can refuse induction if baby seems ok in there!! Lucky he came at 13 days late after 3 sweeps!
Hope baby doesnt take to long for you this time.
Im expecting a May baby as all mine have been really late lol

Ahh thats reassuring that you refused induction and had extra scan etc, i hope the sweep works for me if i get that far this time - i am due in March but expecting a April baby. Do you have any inklings on what your having?

I think boy sometime but not sure if thats just because last one was a boy lol. Really dont mind either way :)
I was offered the extra scans but they also put loads of pressure on me and saying how the rate of still borns etc rises when you go over due :( But when I asked about them and the stats they said how it was a very lower risk and it slowly went up after the 14 days over due and as long as scan was ok and placenter looked fine then there wasnt really any extra risks. So ill be waiting again this time.
The thing bugging me at the moe is they wont do a sweep til 7 days late and then from 10 days late they are wanting you in for induction so doesnt really give you loads of time to try a few sweeps etc - so im going to ask my consultant to write in my notes its ok to start the sweeps from earlier (40weeks rather then 41 weeks)....see if it helps.....

I could do with this one being a May baby for the bdays being a little more spread out lol. I dont want this one to be 4 days late though as ill miss DS's 1st bday then :(

Good luck to both of you. In my experience - baby will come when it's ready - if your other(s) have been late then that's probably the way your body works and your body knows that the baby needs that bit longer inside. All of mine were really late - 16 days and then 10 days for the other 3, I was induced twice - would NOT reccommend, but first was with my first baby and I didn't know any different and couldn't wait (she was still 16 days late), next time with my last, when I was so ill, I didn't care!
