Samsung NC10. The Dell is extremely dissappointing performance wise. The Asus Eee PC is quite nice, almost on par with the Samsung but the Samsung has the edge. Plenty of new NC10's with guarantees on Ebay. I've just got one last ex-display one on now which is well under your budget but due to MSE rules, I can't advertise.
As for 3G, can't beat 3. They're the cheapest on PAYG and out of the three networks I've tried, they have the best coverage and decent performace.0 -
I just got myself the MSi U130, it has the bran new Intel Atom N450 processor, bluetooth, wireless-n, and Windows 7 and cost only £230! Very pleased with it!

Samsung and if you can get one an NC10, it is an old model now but it is a design classic with fantastic battery life that is yet to be bettered.
I bought one for the children to use on a recent holiday and I was extremely impressed with it. A real quality piece of kit.0 -
Have a look at the Hannspree netbook. Misco had £40 cashback until midnight but you can get elsewhwere. Has everything the more expensive netbooks have - 6 cell battery, 1.3 mehgapixel webcam, bluetooth and Wireless n. These are unusual in a netbook in this price range. Have just ordered one myself.0

I've had an NC10 for a few months now - thoroughly recommend it. Battery life is excelent. Goes everywhere with me.0

Just had the Acer Aspire One 531delivered by Santa's Little Helpers this Christmas.
Cracking bit of kit and soooo quick.

i just bought the acer aspire one from currys for £209 very pleased with it. I deliberately opted for the XP for one reason or another. I noted that the battery only lasted 2.5 hrs (despire being advertised as 7 hours). Turns out that I had 'accidentally' been given the 3 cell battery not the 6 cell, & hours battery as advertised.0

I bought a netbook in the summer for my wife, it was a toss up between the Dell Mini 10v and the Samsung NC10, in the end I went for the Dell as it was £50 cheaper. I agree that the Samsung is a better machine and it has excellent battery life, but we are never more than 2 hours from a mains supply so it's not really a problem. Overall we are really pleased with the Dell.0
