I know this may be of no use whatsoever but I adore my Henry hoover (I'm sure he adores me too).

I never realised how expensive Dyson's were until now!
  • i know they aren't cheap, but i would swear by miele hoovers, beat my dyson hands down on performance. I know they aren't cheap, but a good investment. Bought mine a couple of years ago from comet, if i remember right, and got a discount as i found it cheaper on the net, plus a bit more off for asking! mines a solution hepa filter one.

    good luck :D

eds - just spotted they are now over £200 in comet  mine was about £145.....

I have a Sebo. Utterly reliable and has lasted for years, cleans very well too.

Thanks everyone so much for taking the time to reply but my dyson has been taken to the menders to see if it can be fixed, I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the prices of a new one!!! Fingers crossed!
