Hi there,
I am very new to this so i will apologise if i waffle a bit or am mixed up. My sister asked my parents for a pair of GHD hair irons for Christmas this year and my parents bought them for her. They are not internet savvy at all and they bought them from what appeared to be a legitimate company (if they had asked my advice first i would have told them to go through the official GHD site but they are getting on a bit and have no idea about these kind of things)......... anyway back to the point........ My mum paid with her credit card (think it was around £60.......... that should have been her 1st warning sign
) but the straighteners have not arrived................. She has e-mailed the company but is getting excuse after excuse with them and has given them the benefit of the doubt until now and has handed it over to myself to try and deal with........................ I have since found out that the company (GHD-Outlet) is based in the states and surprise surprise there is no phone number etc on the site......................... I guess what i am trying to get at (in a round about way) is does she have any recourse/protection through her credit card (Sainsbury's mastercard) as it appears that the company she bought from have no intention of either chasing the parcel or refunded her money............
Thankyou for taking the time to read

this might help ..usually it is £100 for recourse but since the compnay has not kept their side of the agreement ....Contact Sainsbury's MC and get their advice or contact CAB.0 -
many thanks for taking the time to reply................. I have e-mailed the company and said that unless a refund is issued to my mum's card within 48 hrs i will be requesting a refund from her credit card company as they have told us that the irons were returned to them in one e-mail and then in the next e-mail have said that the tracking reference says they have been received
. I will get my mum to contact Sainsburys later on today.................... does anyone have any advice as to what she should say?............ Does she just explain the situation and ask for a refund?
Many thanks
