New Line Installation

I am looking to have a new line in my apartment. I have Sky so will just use them for the calls and broadband. Sky said they can't sort a new line out due to location so I spoke to BT and they want £125 installation fee. Does anyone know if there are cheaper options? I have seen Talk Talk at £60ish, is that the cheapest. Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

I believe BT is still offering free line installation, but instead, you would have to sign a 18 months contract. I have just had my line installed free of charge...

They might talk you into getting the BT vision and BB as well, coz this would offer you a free line installation I believe. Don't bother if you don't need them. I only took out a line rental with them for 12.5 a month and I am just about to go paperless which will reduce my bill to 11.25 or sth a month.

    Good luck.

Yes, the free installation offer is NOT dependent on taking any other service or even anything other than the lowest calls plan, the Unlimited Weekend Plan.

Agreeing to an 18 month contract and making 10 chargeable or inclusive calls per month are the only conditions.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Has the offer been extended from the 31/12/09?
