Netbooks - How Good as a PDF viewer?

The topic says it all really.
I want to be able to view PDFs of various sizes from 10mb right up to 200mb.

  • They're OK but you might want to use Foxit PDF viewer for the larger ones.

Up until now Ive relied on printing out any PDF book Ive wanted, but the wife is despairing about the amount of dead-trees lying around the house....thanks.

  • No problem. Adobe PDF reader is a bit lardy now. Foxit does the same and is only a few MB install.

You will have no problem opening PDFs with the right software but bear in mind the screen resolution, most netbooks only have a 9 or 10" 1024x600 widescreen display.
Viewing an A4 document will entail a great deal of scrolling up and down if it is scaled to make text readable.

  • There is no problem with viewing the pdf in adobe and it is easy to install its all about 26mb.

Basill is correct - it's isn't anything to do with the PDF viewer, but the minuscule vertical resolution of all netbook screens which is the problem for reading almost anything, PDFs, Word documents, web pages... (The sooner netbooks vanish into history the better, IMNVHO!)
