Possible to track an address via a card purchase?

Ok so I misplaced by debit card and someone was awesome enough to spend some of my money with it. Not a lot, I cancelled it as soon as I realised it was gone. I was wondering if it's possible for example that the bank can track the address that a purchase was shipped to (if they ordered something online) to the person who used the card, and what can happen to the person who used it instead of rightfully handing it in.
Thanks

Yes it's possible to trace, although usually the crooks will be one step ahead of the authorities.what can happen to the person who used it instead of rightfully handing it in0
