iPhone abroad help

Am going away next week and want to take my iphone. If I turn off 3G, Data roaming etc and access internet (to check in for the flight home) using the hotel's wifi network, will I get charged for data? Many thanks

Thanks - I think I have to buy wifi 'time' from the reception desk. Am happy to pay for this, but will this avoid big charges from O2 when I get home??0

Your not using their network, you're using the hotels. Your iphone will function just like a normal wifi device. I can connect to any wifi network in range with my laptop but my home network provider is Virgin so if i connect to the guy next door he's using sky so then i will be using sky's do you understand?0
