We bought our semi-detached house for £35k in 1988. A similar one sold recently for £158k but this is Liverpool so don't know if it's relevant.

Well looking at the land reg document i can see that the lease was drawn up and it says that "for consideration of the lease the sum of 40K on 1 July 1987"

The flat is now being advertised at 199K

It sold in 2004 for 170 which is surprising but it is above a dentist so that might explain it somewhat

Does anyone know if the land registry numbers can be fiddled???

Why would it have been fiddled?

If I may be so bold: this is the third thread you've started about the flat you're looking at. The fact that you're questioning so much about this flat suggests you're not convinced by it. If you're not, don't. It's a huge investment not to be sure about.

' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".
