Would it still be worth cancelling and paying the fee if you are saving loads more on another quote?0
-
oh crap.
Well, things have gone tits up really - bf, now ex, is a complete !!!!!! and is showing his true colours in really hurtful ways.
CCCS are about to cancel my DMP because I'm slack and I'm being chased by nasty DCA. Both things I will sort tomorrow.
Feel really low and wallowing in self-pity probably. NOT how I though January would turn out at all.
Hopefully be back on track tomorrow. We'll see.

Hope you can manage to sort things out.Can CCCS not help you if you explain the problems?0

Right, feeling better than I have in a while today. Got quite a few things sorted and have been actively trying to eat healthily. CCCS budget all done and I'll be paying nearly £100 more a month which is great. I really want to get on with paying the debt now as it's stopping me from making the most out of my life and also for my kids. I am seriously considering going part-time, but I just don't think it's financially viable given the debt. Ah well. We'll see what happens!
Had a bit of a ding-dong with ex-hubby but hopefully that'll be a storn in a tea-cup and will get sorted asap. He seemed ok when I talked to him tonight and has offered to have the kids one night when I've got a work thing on so that's a relief regarding babysitters.
I keep getting sucked into playing stupid addictive games on facebook and that's GOT to stop lol. Its taking up far too much time and life is not a facebook game!
Anyhoo, I'll go now, attempt to read a couple of diaries and see how peeps are getting on.

Great to hear taht you are feeling better. Was thinking of you the other day as I drove past the corner of your street.
Good luck with the H/E ..eating right can also have a positive effect on the mind.0 -
Ok
I was talking to my friend today about a few positive changes I want to bring into my life and hopefully begin to drag myself out of this pit I seem to have got stuck in. I've made a drs app to discuss things for a start (except I rang last week and the earliest I could see her was the 12th Feb!!!!).
I'm going to have to get my routines sorted - for when the kids come home, when they aren't here etc. Too much of my life seems wasted, and I need to be more productive, while not really overwhelmed - easier said than done I know.
First thing is to get a grip on the house - I've got a man coming to fit some lino soon - if not this weekend, then next week, and it's going to be less than £100 which is fab. That'll be much better for the loo and bathroom and make it easier to clean. I'm gradually sorting out the downstairs and am getting quotes for someone to take the glass panels out the back door and then fit a cat flap - the cats (or I think just one of them) are weeing in the house, despite the cat tray and it's getting me down constently cleaning things and washing things because of that. So that'll hopefully sor that out.
My bedroom is the next thing - been given some lovely bits that'll make it feel so cosy, but I need to give it a good clean out and toss lots of clutter, and that will help me sleep (which has been appalling recently).
I got given some money for bday and christmas which will help me do the above, and am also putting some away for a hol for me and the kids. I will then look at clearing the bcard for good.
Healthier eating means planning and so I'm trying to plan meals and therefore reduce wasted food and excess food shopping so that'll go hand in hand with cutting back on spending.
I'm going to get the kids involved with making the house nice, so going to fit some hooks lower down the wall so they can hang their coats and school bags on those etc. They are getting better at tidying up after themselves and once sophia gets over resisting changing straight after school, things will be nicer too
I have got rid of so my clutter to charity shops etc and yet there still seems so much more!! However, I'm proud of my progress so far.
Work is going great - lots of recognition for the fact I'm working so hard, I just need to make sure I'm not giving everything at work ang having nothing left over for the kids and me.
Babysteps obviously, but am going to try to do one thing a day towards changing my life into a more pleasurable experience for me (& therefore the kids!!).
My mum is coming on Saturday, so that'll be lovely. She'll take the kids out so I can do a clean and then cook a nice meal for us all for when she comes back
Enough waffling - I need to do this!! Slowly and steadily, but something has to happen, as I'm feeling my old thoughts coming back and I so don't want to return to the mental state I have been in, in the past.
Not all that mse, but I think doing all this will lead to a more positive outlook, which will, in turn, reflect on all aspects of my life. Hints and tips gratefully received!!!

Thanks

Well, unexpected trip to the vet with Timmy the cat - turns out he's been bitten by a cat and it's got infected - noticed the stench as soon as I walked in tonight - ewww!!! Poor thing had 2 injections and now has anti-biotics twice a day til wednesday when I take him back for another appointment (and another £30 odd too, but these things happen and I'm glad he'll get sorted).
Rang talk-talk today - arghhhh!! Huge saga of near enough an hour of being passed around before they told me I hadn't cancelled my tiscali account so my order had been cancelled - why they couldn't have told me this 2 months ago is beyond me!!
Rang mortgage peeps as well to discuss new rate and also taking ex off the mortgage - too busy so ringing me back next week.
Done some tidying today - very limited, but looks better already. Also got £5 through for doing random phone survey with follow up questionnaire booklet ( I say booklet, more like lord of the rings tbh!!
). But £5 is still £5 and I'll be using that to buy milk over the next few days
Tomorrow I plan to look carefully at y bedroom - I have so many lovely things, but can't see them for hte clutter! I need to follow Hypno and others examples on here and get cracking with flylady lol.
Feelin generally better about ex bf now - realised it's the first time in a very long time I've had to deal with emotions like this without using alcohol to help me and it's a bit of a shocker! But hope the hardest has past now.
It's helping me use this thread as a bit of a personal diary to myself, so don't worry if it's too dull and noone reads it as it's helping me no end!!
So this weekend I want to check balances, sort out finances in my head really and check what's happening - hopefully pay off a bit chunk if not all of the bcard! Would feel great. I always said I wouldn't do F&Fs on the debt, but am beginning to wonder about it now, as I so want rid. I'd have to get the money obviously, but even having the figures might prove a boost. Oh, I'm not sure about that but nothing has to be decided on yet!
Pottering about tonight, not up to much, kids were tired tonight. But proud mummy moment was when William's teacher met me with his handwriting book especially to show me what wonderful work he'd done - bless!!
Anyway, enough waffling for now - going to go check emails for surveys and do them!!
