The raspberry stuff is usually named Chambourd, fortunately my dad makes a point of buying some local oddity when on holiday so his cupboards are crammed full of bizarre things that sounded interesting at the airport but which he took a quick sniff of at home and decided he really didn't like. His cupboards are crammed full of the stuff. Makes me laugh as he only ever drinks aged malt whiskey unless on holiday. Still means my little sister and I get to experiment with his cocktail shaker and boy do we experiment.

The addition of icecream to the aforementioned French Martini is a v. pleasant twist on a sunny day although incidently feeding ones step mother one at 10am on a saturday whilst higly amusing is not to be recommended on a regular basis. She was just a bit squiffy before lunch and considerably more squiffy after lunch when we had to admit to daddykins just what we'd been feeding her. Turns out even 33 is not too old to have your bottom smacked young lady... that was before he asked how we were making them just in case he ever felt the urge.

I have none of the relevant ingredients but several others, including some of the bizarre holiday variety as donated by siblings - methinks a cocktail night may be in order soon ;)

Tis a very tasty concotion that has nothing to do with the slop the supermarkets sell as martini.

Usually 50ml vodka, 15ml raspberry liquer and 35ml pineapple juice mixed together with the addition of an olive or a maraschino cherry or even a lemon twist. V. nice and v. v. moorish. You have been warned!

My favourite bar also puts a couple of fresh raspberries and some crushed ice in them.....yum yum yum.

They don't taste like they have booze in them though so are very dangerous!!

Raspberries... have mixed frozen fruit in freezer! That'll have rasps surely? :rotfl:

How do I not know of this wonderous drink? (especially as I think I have everything in my flat to make it even garnishy additions! :o :rotfl:) Yummy.
