Another item sold on Amazon while I was at work :j £12.21 minus postage, so hurrah for that!

All of this money isn't getting put into my normal spends but will be used for debt-busting, as in theory the Frugal Spreadsheet has accounted for everything that I need right now.

    The thoughts from me are:

Amazon money - debt busting as this was general tat to be rid of anyway.

Ebay money - use for sorting spare room and put any spare to debts.

Every little helps I once heard.... ;)

Well done F_F :T The postage is the bummer, but I just think of it as fivers and tenners that'd be otherwise lying around. Plus Amazon listing is easy.
Can I ask what service do you send them? I always do second class, though worry that I should hedge my bets and go recorded, but I just go for the cheapest :money:

My only advice would be that:

    *Draft up some rules
*She must stick to the rules or risk the wrath of an angry bovine (remind her not to wear red in your company!)

Would it be worthwhile if she gave you money towards food and you did the meals (I am thinking you would benefit from economies of scale when purchasing/cooking) however appreciate the extra hassle of cooking for a third person everyday... only a really weeny suggestion. Probably a carp one too.

Good idea to have some ground rules actually.
When i first had lodgers had no ground rules but laterly I did.
Sometimes its the wee things that drive you round the twist.

I will only be cooking for her occasionally as she has criticised my cooking before and I'm not opening that can of worms. (And no, I didn't feed her worms!!) She's probably round this weekend to discuss all, I'll keep you all updated!
  • Fair do's.

Make sure that the rent you charge, you can afford, you are not doing yourself a dis-service to do her a favour and that she will pay.

    Words of wisdom over.

PS - if she pees you off, def feed her worms!

It's ok, you don't have to cook worms - just send her off to the bottom of the garden to eat them ;) :rotfl:

She's getting charged what our previous lodger got charged, no discount. I will be getting £350 per month once bills etc are taken into consideration. Woo!
