    Hey! *waves*

They take it from your first cashback payment that's received. If you start with a biggy you don't notice it :D It's worth checking things like your insurances through Quidco/Topcashback as well, as you can save a good amount when you take the cashback into account. I'm getting £100 this month thanks to my home insurance :j

    *waves back*

Thanks for that but I'm still not 100% sure there's not a catch?! Who actually gives you money for buying stuff without there being a catch?!

I have to bear in mind though that you wouldn't recommend it if it was rubbish so maybe I should just bite the bullet and do it!! :p

They get a percentage from the retailers (I think) which is how it's worth it for them, they will also make money from the annual fee. There honestly isn't a catch. I have been using them for two years now and they have been great.

I can endorse what f-f says about quidco, I've had £699.38 from them. I joined in Nov 06 and my last payment was in June 2009 (I've been a very bad MSE'r since then) but am now back on the wagon, waiting for insurances etc to be up for renewal.

Congratulations on the new job fresian and I hope you are starting to feel better.

I see that Mr Twit has a twin with Mr Fresian, I also have to buy tea bags 1100 at a time

The main thing to remember is to clear cookies between browsing and then actually clicking through to buy something.

There is a thread on here about the daily clicks that can earn a few pennies, which all go to paying the annual fee. I'll see if I can find it :D

    'Twas the night before payday...

    ...meaning budgeteering was afoot!

    Debt (Boo!) = £3,318.74
    Savings to offset = £1,324.38
    Outstanding debt = £1,994.36

I get paid tomorrow, and have increased the groceries budget to £200 for one month only as I need to stock up on some expensive things, cover for some of the money spent in Costco and buy more hairdye :o

This still leaves me with £202.88 "spare" after all essential bills are paid and groceries, presents and entertainment are budgeted for.

The credit card is looking healthier - when this latest payment hits it should be at around £90, which isn't too bad really. I can repay that with either the rent money, Quidco or some judicious budgeteering. I need to have it cleared by the end of next month anyway, just for my own sanity. That way I know that every penny in the debt pot will be clearing Evil Debts.

This months wages include 10.25 hours of overtime. I have done 13 hours this month already, with more in the pipeline. I'm doing at least an hour a day at the moment, trying to save it up for my new job coming as I won't have the chance of overtime there. I still don't know what my new salary is going to be, but should know next week.

    Tomorrow morning I need to:

    • Transfer £200 to Groceries account then transfer back the amount I spent at Costco at the weekend
    • Transfer £30 to Entertainment account
    • Transfer £25 to Christmas/presents account
Tomorrow night I'm off out for dinner, so I have to find a Toby Carvery voucher tonight!

    Hope everyone else is ok...?
