Easyjet Cancelled my flight *arg*

This is a bit melodramatic. It is for the airlines to manage their aircrew rosters appropriately. It is certainly not the passenger's responsibility to ensure an airworthy aircraft is available at the correct time.
Your point regarding de-icing is rather odd. Of course aircraft should be de-iced. This is standard operating procedures. It doesn't take hours and ought to be taken into account in respect of the schedules which the airlines operate.
Having worked on aircraft & flightlines as an engineer for over 15 years,I know what the proceedures are.0 -

I rang them up yesterday and they said they can issue me with a refund but because I booked 3rd party (I booked a package deal with myprague.net) they have to have some sort of acknowledgement from the company saying they agree the refund goes directly to me. Is this true?
Yes this is completely true. Easyjet have to refund to the original booker of the flights, which is myprague.net, not yourself. If I were you I would get on to myprague.net so that they can get the ball rolling and either get the refund from Easyjet and pass it on to you, or give Easyjet permission to refund you directly.0 -

Good for you. Being a RAF trained pilot, I kind of know what is involved in the de-icing process as well.....
Hopefully having worked on aircraft for 15 years you will know that deicing is a very standard procedure that should not lead to abnormally large delays or cancellations.0 -
Another option is a chargeback on your CC?0
