I'm going to cover the shop tomorrow for OH and he and an army of friends are going to move all the furniture and heavy bits so by the time I finish closing the shop it'll just be the sorting and rearranging which can take as many days as needed really.
First job is checking the kettle has survived the move okay lol!!

YAY!!! for Fishcake, OH and fishfinger!! that'll save dragging a buggy upstairs!
so went to aldi's, got 2 plum and 2 pear (2 diff varieties of pear, conference and beurre hardy) also went to MrT's and got OH a mag and me some slimming choccies to save my diet.
also have just signed up for race for life this year, my mum, me, and a couple of her friends are going to do it!!! i'd love some good luck wishes for the day for sun and no blisters!!!!
i'm actually quite looking forward to it as have already started training for it and am going to aim to do it in under 40 mins (which seems slow but considering i'm a lazy moo it'll be a flipping good achievement)
am thinking of making some cookies this afternoon, quite fancy a bit of baking and i find it relaxing (can you see why i need to do the exercise)
take care all and hugs to those having a hard time

Congratulations Fishcake! Hope the move goes well and that you'll can make the very most of what garden area this move will give you, and the clothesline space! You must be eccstatic! I'm so pleased for you. :j:T
Don't know about elsewhere but I think everyone in our district must be reading these forums because the Ald! nearest us was mobbed in comparison to how it usually is when we venture there. The trees were selling like hot cakes and only one check out open meant a second having to be opened to cope with the tree traffic! :rotfl: I eventually settled on 2 Morello Cherries and a Braeburn apple to bring my mini-orchard up to 12 trees. I'll have the cherries to the front so it looks decorative when they all get around to flowering in the future. I'll be devastated if we need to move from here anytime within the next few years, I want to see, literally, the fruits of my labours in this garden.
Feels like I've been on a spendathon this year so far, what with all these purchases and grocery bulk buys. Last night I took advantage of my 10% discount code for F00dBargain$ and then had to email them this morning asking nicely if they could pleeeeeeeeeeeeease add on some of the 5p pate, 8p kidney beans in chille sauce and was almost tempted by the 5p Cu$$ons babysoft moisturiser, but held back on that as an extravagance. :rotfl:Hope they deduct my discount on that massive additional £1.80 spend. :rotfl:
Managed to spend almost £25 on groceries between Mr S and Ald! so if the snow decides to fall heavily here, we can bunker down for weeks if needs must. Updates signature, going to wrestle with another cooked chicken now, first one I've cooked in the new slow cooker. (Did I mention my bargain 6.5L slow cooker here?Told you it felt like a spendathon recently.)
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Hi,
I've been dealing with children and Uni this week so haven't been on very much.
Congrats fishcake about your new flat, that's great news.
I was thinking of nipping off to Aldi but I'm not sure where I would plant the trees. The garden is starting to look a bit full!
I've made a curry with leftover roast lamb and some soup with the stock. Both are going in the freezer.
Other than that it's money spent on vehicles and coffee at Uni and 'bubbly'. I really must try harder.
frugaldom I was wondering how your weightloss 'program' was going? I hope I'm right in thinking that you start it in February.0 -
Hey all,
Been quieting lurking on here. Is not going so well here. Just been buying a few too many bits for the house. Nothing major, but needed a new toaster, a new mop, then Mr T had great offer on batteries (which we did need anyway). So other areas have had a cut back this month - clothes and leisure mainly. So hopefully we'll be back on track in a couple of months. Been hectic at work and uni but i've enjoyed reading the odd bits on here and getting a few tips for being more frugal.
Got another load of whoopsies yesterdayHad to sneak them into my freezer before OH catches me hehe. So wasn't such a bad shopping trip afterall!!

Hi everyone,
I also went to Ald1 and got an Bramley apple and beurre pear tree - think most of the people on this site had been before me too as there wasnt much left at all. Im very happy with my buy though. I'm still going to see what Mr L's trees are like when they come in on the 28th (ish) just to compare them. I quite fancy the cherry ones if only to look at!
I also asked in Mr A's about the flower buckets there , I want to plant some bits of veg in them. They gave me 20.... Free ! :j
Lynz - Thanks for the B and Q soil tip, I'll look into that. I bought 2 bags from Aldi to plant a few things in , not sure what its like but time will tell.
Fishcake - Congratulations :j
Take care all
Suzanne

NSD no 13 today, doing well this month. Got a letter through today from HMRC with my new tax code starting in April, weird as iv never been sent anything from them before! Cant wait until August, get such a good payrise :T Give it a year il be saying the same about next summer. My debts come down quick this year, i hope to see it continue and my savings rocket up just as fast as the debts came down.
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.
