Hiya peeps:j:j
Haven't stopped today!Had my hair cut (£9), got some Borax, and light bulbs £4.50) can't wait to make laundry powder after, then went to Morrisons and spent £27, so have gone slightly over my GC target, but got a lot of cheaper shampoos, and shower gels while they are on offer, so it will balance out next month;):D
Made a few samples of baby food last night, with lentils, carrots n potato, and have dropped them off for Boo to sample:D:D
Have also been to the gym for a swim, and feel really destressed now, let's hope it lasts:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Have fabbily frugal days all:A:A"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

BigMumma, this is a brilliant idea and simple to implement. If we had a couple of different people collecting relevant links then it would just be a case of them keeping the info up to date, PM'ing me the links and I can update the main links section that gets included in page 1. Each new part of the challenge gets the original post copied over so there shouldn't really be any excuse for someone to miss the first post if they join the challenge. :T This should work. :j
Just having a quick 10 mins on here whilst bread is baking. I hate to say this, but that's just a typical morning here, not a busy morning. HS helps out a lot nowadays, doing loads of the outside jobs like chopping the kindling, barrowing logs, digging, cleaning out hen runs etc, etc, etc. OH2B training is coming along nicely. :rotfl:
Lunch today is pasta & cheese leftovers from fridge, a nice quick and easy meal served with freshly baked, warm bread. This afternoon, I have 12 chicken breasts to be cut, seasoned and dry-fried to see how many lunches it will make up for DS, as he's now onto chicken & salad wraps for lunches and has been forking out £2 a day at work. So, I'm finding out how many I can make for £10 using whoopsied & special offer chicken. I'll need to reorganise the freezer again just to get everything in, so I guess we're having chicken for dinner tonight, too.
Just finished off my end of month budget, won't bother copying it here, as I've just updated the homepage of my blog to show the updates. I'd quite like a list of blogs frm anyone doing this challenge, because I can then add a link to them from my own page and that makes it much quicker to see them if they're all in the same place. I'll check usernames later this afternoon and copy the links - if anyone objects to this, please let me know.
Must dash, have read all the posts, back later.
No objections at all, i love following everyones blogs, mine is a mix of personal and frugal musings, as i cant seem to seperate the two, plus saves on time for me just havign the one place to write my madness down0 -
Time for another quick catch-up and update. The weather here is pretty miserable but it stopped raining long enough for us to start preparing this year's square foot garden! :j Make progress while the son's off work! :rotfl: Rather than witter on needlessly, I took a couple of piccies instead.
Managed to bake a tray of oat biscuits, too.
Gave a good home to 4 railway sleepers, DS and HS have just moved them into the garden. I'm expanding my square foot garden this year from 32 squares to 56 squares and a footpath down the middle. Old one now all unfenced and have set the feathered critturs upon it to do the weeding, fertilising and digging for me. :T
Look at their progress! Many hens (& ducks) make light work.
Wagons ho, frugalers! It's time to kick the old homegrowing project into gear by starting the preparations. If I grow it, I don't need to buy it and last year's square foot garden grew me an amazing amount of food despite it being my first year of trying this.
Cuppa time and a freshly baked biscuit, then it's cooking, freezer reorganising, kitchen tidying, more paperwork and some accounting.
HappyMrsH, that's a good price for sugar! Was that 69p per kilo bag?I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Maybe silly question:o, but how long do they take to defrost?
I hate making sandwiches for lunch so making a batch and freezing sounds like a great idea:TWhen all else fails just console yourself by saying, "Its just a phase"Pay off all debts and have some savings by Christmas 2010Catalogues £238/£1764CC £2101Food Challenge £264.26/£2500Clothes Challenge £0/£1000 -
