I know - it was weird to see them in Mr M's. I'm not sure that the farmer will get a fair deal for them, so I prefer not to buy them0 -

I was just having a little lurk when I spotted this. YES, DEFINITELY!:rotfl: A friend proudly showed me her little girlie bag which held nothing at all and had to be dangled everywhere on one finger and I thought, 'S*d that for a nuisance...' Other dislikes: hairstyles that trail hair in your eyes, tight skirts that drag on your legs and impede walking, beds with tight sheets and envelope corners, like sleeping in a straitjacket, long nighties that tie you up in knots. I hate to be hobbled....I don't get so much backache since I gave up the long nighties so it's frugal too...saves on physiotherapists' bills.'Whatever you dream you can do, begin it. Me too... My hair has to be able to be tied back (if longer) or stay behind my ears (current chin length style) as I work in a lab so would have to take my gloves off every 30secs to sort my hair out so I can see otherwise. I can't be bothered with that at all!
I don't do skirts really - I think I've worn one once in the last 12 yrs - for a friend's wedding. (She was v shocked!) Long nightwear is a no no too - PJs rock! Got to be able to move!
I combine both on the bag front though... I have a decent sized handbag (big enough for my brolly, lunch, diary, gloves, random detritusetc) and a lightweight rucksack that can be compacted into a tiny stuff sack (bar of soap sized? Its usually in my handbag just in case) for occasions when I go shopping on the way to/from work. If its shopping at the weekend or I need to carry something heavier then its a proper rucksack all the way! :T If it wont all fit in my rucksack I have to have 2 MrT small blue bags too - so they (and I) balance! :rotfl: I hate plastic bags - they are so uncomfy!
Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Our frugal activities this and last weekend:
Last weekend
1. Rescued two halves of a very large plastic container from the recycling centre. :A Perfect for growing the Wilko's seed potatoes and onions sets etc in.
2. Did one big food shop to last us until the end of the month except for bread, milk and a bit of fresh veg plus his newspaper.
3. Bought in gardening stuff and knocked a hole in the budget. Spent a horrendous £99 on compost, veg seed, fertiliser, propgator and a packet of fruit pastilles.
4. Batch cooked Monday chicken, Weds whoopsied beef (ha found something whoopsied for a change):j Fri Lamb mince batch cook shepherds
5. The Mr T's half price offer £5.00 pork joint fed us very well for Saturday dinner, and Sunday dinner
6. I planted the garlic soon as the snow went.
Last Saturday had car repairs MOT done £152 dent this months budget
Today
1. Will do bubble and squeak with nice tatties and neeps tonight with half of what's left of the pork joint and curry the rest - hopefully it will fit in the freezer.
2. Did a 30 wash on low time setting using a bulk buy washing powder I had in when it was on cheap offer months ago.
3. Air drying washing
4. Did budget for the rest of the month

Hello everyone
Feeling very pleased with myself today. Had a call from EON to ask me about switching. Deal sounded ok but wanted to check it out online and check whether had a cancellation fee with Scottish Power (current supplier) and check my actual usage as am paying WAY over what I need was £200 in credit at last bill.... Anyways worked out my actual usage and compared with EON, found they had an even better deal so switched to that - £15 per month less than my current 'real' monthly usage + £60 per month less than I'm actually paying !!!! Also went through Quidco so got £70 cashback too AND I'll get back my £200 credit back from Scottish Power. Time well spent methinks, thanks mr EON person for motivating me to check it out...
BigMummaF - glassesdirect have really cheap glasses, nice too. I've had some from there before and they were fine (until DGS broke one arm off!!)
How's everyone doing?
Managed to finish work early today so might actually get something done at home for a change (if I can drag myself away from the computer!!). Well off to find something exciting for teaOfficial DFW nerd - 282 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts'

Evening everyone
Well I handed in 2 assignments today - glad to have got those out of the way! Being back at uni was a bit strange, almost like going back in time a bit right back to the beginning of the course. Found out provisionally where I am going to be on next placement - about 25 minutes away so not bad, but that could change if other schools drop out etc.
Today has consequently been another NSD - takes my total for January up to 15. I do need to buy some more printer ink but that can wait for a bit now, as I don't have anything that I urgently need to print.
I have also posted off a job application! ( ) and another application to join an NQT teaching pool. So keep your fingers crossed for me!
Have a good evening everyoneBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
