Could I do a photography course with this camera?

Agreed..but you almost certainly need them to fulfil the requirements of the course to be attended by the OP.You need neither of those things to learn about photography.
Some people think that the more you spend on a camera,the better photographer you will be and the better results you will produce but as you suggest,its all in the eye and technique. My first SLR was a Praktica BCX with a big fat Sigma 200mm zoom lens. The only auto bit on it was auto exposure. I took some cracking pics with that and learned a lot. Great piece of kit.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
