Gas maintenance contract - worth it?

Just ensure that if you do cancel before the end of the term you get a rebate(I have heard they don't give rebates)
My other reason for leaving was that I started to get letters telling me 'they were having difficulty sourcing parts' followed by a call from their sales staff trying to sell me a new boiler.
Actually £99 a repair including parts is pretty good in my opinion, and the guaranteed same or next day attendance is also worth having.
Well I pay monthly but I wouldn't expect a rebate necessarily although they've had more money from me than they've given back over the past 6/7 years. But why would they give me a rebate? Sorry to sound dumb.0 -
Its not a rebate. They will give you some money off your following years contract depending on how many years (1,2 or 3) you have not got any repair done.
If you pay yearly then you would recieve a pro rata refund if outwith your 1st years contract (no break in contract)0 -
For what its worth! Had a marathon - really - with British Gas to try and get the deal I had planned on BUT Atlantic were going to charge me £75 for finishing with them so I couldn't get the policy with BG I wanted. Instead I'm still saving £30 a month by having one boiler on one policy (Homecare 100) and the other on Homecare 100 Flexi. Wasn't allowed to have the policy I wanted because I don't have duel fuel with them. In August when Atlantic relax I'll go back and try another system. Thanks to all.0
