I bought a House, forgot to insure it, and i crashed my car into it and knocked it down.
Both the car and house was completely wrecked. The PC survived and so I am still able to come on MSE.
However I have no food to eat, but that doesn't matter.0 -
i left my purse in a phonebox once i had just withdrawn £80 from the bank i was seriously gutted.0

Bad news Jeppy! Sorry to hear that it spoilt your lovely weekend away!
I agree with another poster..... say to yourself that it cost £50 to upgrade your room, it might soften the blow slightly!
Years ago, when I was renting out a house ( I was 16 at the time) I had some probs with my bank account, whilst I was waiting for a new account to be opened, I had all my wages from the last 6 weeks in the house ( in a tin box hidden in the back of my wardrobe) ...there was £560 in there, I came home one day and it had gone! ...... Turned out that the landladys stepbrother still had a key to the house, and he went in whilst I was at work... He even came back a few days later and nicked a jar full of pennies!!
I never did get my money back, I had no proof, the old lady that lived next door was the one who saw him let himself in , but she died before anything could be done!
Still riles me now......but then it was stupid to have it lingering round the house!
Live and learn..... *grimace*Tatts :hello: :kisses2:0 -
At the place I work, someone yesterday (in the queue for the till) picked up something on the floor and handed it in to me and the other staff - 2 £50 notes screwed up together. Someone had dropped £100 in the queue earlier on that day !
No one has even claimed it yet !!!
