thats what automatic switching does
the splitter just splits one feed to 2 sources
eg one virgin box to two tv's.it even tells you tihs on the listing

I saw that after, but I wasn't sure I was looking at the correct male/female combo:o
So I DEF DON'T want one of those;)

BUT the manual swichers swict to whicher is on?
So you don't need to shell out extra for a remote control one?
If you want to switch between the PS3 & the skyHD, you just switch one off & the other on & it brings you the signal of the one thats currently on?
Thats all we need isn't it, he can't watch the TV & play the PS3.

manual requires you to switch to whichever unit you need
so on mine i have a remote and manauly switch over
though it kinda suits me as it saves me switching off the PS£/xbox to get back to the V+ box if you get me?

automatic would sense the PS3 etc switching on and change channel

But the manual ones say they switch over as the power is turned on & off

no it has a manual switch but does automatic

Switching of multiple HDMI sources by using switch button on the switcher
Automatically switch between HDMI port when the source device is turned on

so say you want to leave the PS3 on but swap back to cable you would use the manual switch

But if you are happy to switch the PS3 off (by remote control) it will swich on to the skyHD (when you switch that on by remote control?

yes it will return to the 'live' HDMI source

yes thats the one doses the job but the blue light really annoying lol
