Need help creating a banner for online shop pls

I'd like to design a banner for an online craft shop - it should be 100 pixels high x 920 pixels wide and saved as jpeg or gif.
I've got Corel Paint Shop, but I'm really stuck for ideas for backgrounds, styles, etc.
Does anyone know of a good, easy to use and free banner generator pls? Any advice or suggestions most welcome.

Easiest is 5 or 6 small square pics then write the name of your site across them0
