Thanks Jesa; that would be really handy.

47 listings and I am worn out but at least the 'awkward' ones are done - those that require measuring and cleaning and extra description. Can't wait to move on the media section next week; that's so much quicker using the duplicate button :o

Have another 5 items to prepare and that will be the box complete ready for listing on Sunday (although still need to do piccies)

I would really like to join in the Ebay challange too please as I need a bit more motivation to actually get stuff cleared and out of the house as opposed to shuffling stuff around from cupboards to the garage.

I've got 3 boxes of mainly household things and toys in the garage ready to list and every cupboard in my house groans at the seams.

Can anyone tell me whether it is worth Ebaying books, CDs and DVDs given the free postage? Was thinking of putting them on at a BIN price for the maximum amount of time or is there a better way?

im up to 75 listings now, so quite pleased with myself.

I must stop checking every few hours to see if I have any more bids though, or I'll turn into an ebay addict;)

I'd check out completed auctions on Ebay to see if you have any really good sellers first, and it's always worth a look on Amazon as well. The sales rank and number of copies for sale combined with price is usuaully a fair indication whether a book will sell or not.

However ex chart book, Grishams, Danielle Steels Jilly Cooper and stuff like that are really only worth charity shopping. Some niche books or even childrens books from a couple of decades ago can do surprisingly well.

    Hello busymumof3 (know the feeling!)

I use Amazon and GreenMetropolis for books, CDs and DVDs. When you list an item on Amazon it will tell you how much you will make once fees are taken off; just remember to take off your postage costs to work out how much you will really make.
I use GreenMet for all the popular books and books that sell for pennies on Amazon. You get £3 for each sale but then have to take the postage out of this.

Next week is my media week so I shall be listing on eBay - magazines and videos, Amazon - books, CDs and DVDs and GreenMet - books.

Now back to those last few items to prepare....

  • Hello, can I join your challenge too please? I've been ebaying for a few years on and off. I've got a house full of clutter and stuff that I've bought and don't need.......a lot of impulse buys. I have 29 items listed at the moment and the first lot are due to end on Sunday.

Loads of watchers and so far three bids. I haven't set myself a challenge, my aim is just to make as money as possible and put it towards paying off my bills.
