also logged into my ebay account to find a buyer had emailed last night to say the item hadnt arrived. then first thing this morning they started a paypal claim! how nice of them to give me a chance to respond before starting a claim
so it was an old samsung phone posted to france using airmail. the buyer asked for tracking number which id dont have as i only used airmail!
royal mail say you must wait 20 working days before starting a claim so thats the 11th august cuz it was only posted on 15th july!

Oh dear, I don't know why buyers won't wait a couple of days before starting a claim. From September (I think it is September) these claims count as a strike against sellers on their seller dashboards, so one more thing for us to worry about.
I have had some issues with France but as it has only been 10 days so far I would certainly hope the buyer would wait a few more days before expecting a refund. Just keep in contact with him and hopefully you will avoid a neg. Maybe compromise and see if he will wait until say next Friday before you refund?
As for phones, RM might not play nice as they don't like mobiles going overseas. However the RM terms and conditions actually only state that phones over £41 are not covered insurance wise, so be prepared to play hard ball if they try and refuse your claim.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Trust me to just miss out on a free listing day!
Am having a mad declutter in the house for Ebay & car boot stuff that needs to be gotten rid of to pay debt that we seem to have piled up again on CCs.
I hate ebaying but am going to get on with it!!!
I am setting myself a challenge to raise £1500 through ebay and car boots over the summer holidays.
Have some biggies to sell - car seats for a 7 seater and some eletrical equipment that hubby bought - and will be clearing out my house & loft to sell stuff that is lying around unused to try to raise this amount.
Will put all earnings into a separate pot and use it to pay off a CC that finishes its 0% period on 1st December 2010. Total amount on that card is £2557 at the moment - so want to be able to pay it all off using ebay & car boot money.
Fingers crossed - please wish me luck!0 -
good luck plzhelpmesave!!!
lets hope im not too far behind you lol!!0 -
Hello, I am back on a new computer, our other one kept switching itself off, mind you had it before DD1 was born and she is 6 now so it has lasted a long time especially as I was using it so much throughout the day.
Just getting used to this new one, it's huge, I am having to resave everything to my new Favourites List.
My 3 girls are away at my parents until Sunday, it is the first time the little one has gone so they are only going for a few days to start with, we have done some sorting out so have some stuff to get listed, am hoping to try and get lots done before they get back, only have tomorrow left now and still have lots of tidying up and sorting out to do so hope I get it all done.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160
