The two guys in my local PO are lovely, very friendly, I'm selling some Games for one of them.
I normally do a few and then queue again if there is a big queue so as not to annoy anyone, I also tend to weigh items so if I have 5 large letters at 90p they print me off 5 labels in one go, and do that for the different prices.
Have to go now before getting the kids with 17 parcels.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

Italy is the only place where things consistently seems to go missing, so I refunse to post there.
do i just send signed for and online tracked ? can you track outside of uk?0 -
I've sold all over the world, including Poland and Italy and have had only one problem abroad but plenty in the UK.
If your item is less than £39 send it by Airmail. If it is lost then claim off RM in the same way as UK mail. If you check the t&cs on RM, you'll find that Airsure and International signed for are tracked in the UK only and are not guaranteed overseas.
You could try using a courier but that's expensive.
Sorry I haven't caught up with the posts today as I have been busy doing my tax return. I made the mistake of using a spreadsheet on this site and then realised having input everything that there were errors in it, so had to go back to my spreadsheet and start again. All done and dusted now though until next year
Sales were awful over the weekend and neither buyer has paid (their 99p) Am going to put more on Thursday but was interested to see that tmd gets better sales in the first half of the week. Will have to experiment with this.Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -

Sold a pair of boots last nite for £197. !! So happy.. sold 3 other items one for £6.99 and one for 99p. All posted . Still waiting for payment for a few things from last week, wgere people have said they have sent the money but I haven't recieved it yet.0

That is great Gingababe on the boots.
Floxxie, I used to end auctions on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but found that Wednesdays I wasn't selling anything much so have stopped ending on Wednesday unless it's free listing day and a 10 day auction will end on a Wednesday. I feel that during the week people are more likely to be looking on Ebay rather than weekends when they are out and about or watching something on TV.
It's been an expensive day today, £26 in Ebay parcels, £33.75 for the girls ballet for the term, £22 for the leotards and wraps, although still owe £12.70 next week as I never had enough on me. Iceland £14.97.
I have just sold 3 items to the same person who paid straightaway without requesting an invoice so will have to post it tomorrow and then refund some of the postage, I should set it up so it deducts so much for each additional item but even that can still over price postage depending on the weight of the items bought.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
I trundled down to my local PO today and there were police everywhere and one of those incident tape barriers round the place.
I could see the person who runs the shop, he looked very drawn and upset but I couldn't see his wife, the post mistress. I tried catching his eye so I could ask whether she was OK, but there were just too many police around.
I walked into town and used that PO and asked them if they knew what happened, but they said all they knew was it was something 'bad'. Oh dear, I do hope everyone is OK.
I was strangely unsettled when I got home and decided to do something about the dreadful state of my porch. It's quite large and I get lazy and we all throw our shoes in there and I've got boxes and bag loads of books which I've never got round to sorting. I read somewhere that in feng shui the entry to your house represents your life, so if it is cluttered with things you never get round to doing it is unlucky. I sent son out to buy a small pine shelf rack with umbrella stand, cleaned and scrubbed the porch and then put the every day shoes out tidily. I put a couple of nice welcoming plants out there as well and have bought the piles of books into the dining room so I cna either list them or dump them tomorrow. Some have been out there so long they have cobwebs on.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I thought Airsure was tracked outside of the UK too, thats why its better than just using International Signed For. Did I get that wrong?
I've had a lot of worldwide buyers asking for postage quotes on my current listings and am still dubious about Italy, its the only place I have had problems with other than one UK buyer. But I am still going to let them bid as I will get my money back from RM if it does go missing I suppose
Soolin - that sounds bad. I hope no one was hurt
One of the POs near me has a grumpy little old man in it but once you get to know him he's actually quite sweet. Most of the locals don't care for him but once you get past the initial frostiness he is nice. I would like some self service tills, they sound like a great time saving ideaNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550
