Hi there,
Myself and the Mrs were thinking about getting one of these things. I applied for one about 8-10 months ago and got turned down. I was raging.
I have since paid off my 2K Halifax card (by the end of the introductory interest free period) and closed a Barclaycard one that I didn't realise that was still open, have successfully applied for a Vanquis card and have spent the last 4 months paying it off in full to attempt to better my credit score a little. In the last month Halifax have offered me a Mortgage, as well. My monthly earnings amount to around the £1200 a month mark after tax, and I don't use any overdrafts, etc.
Going by what I mentioned above, do you think I am likely to be accepted for one of these ? Myself and the woman are saving loads of points for both airmiles and an hotel break and are keen to get as many points accumulated for this; hence the reason for my interest in getting one.
Many thanks in advance for any comments, etc.
Wishing you all a happy and prosprous 2010.
