    what channels are you wanting?

  • DO NOT PAY A BEAN.

All you need is either this website here that lists them:
    www.wwwitv.com

Or if you want them all in a nice application with a built in viewer..in order of personal preference:
Chris TV Online! Free version: http://online.chris-tv.com/
Miro (also for Linux/Mac) which is Open Source :http://www.getmiro.com/
JLC's Internet TV which is freeware: http://jlc-software.com/index.php?page=internet_tv.html

wwwitv above goes straight to an affiliate site, dodgy as an £11 note.

Oops  think i may have made a boo-boo .
    Signed up for this http://qualitytvtopc.com/
Cant get a lot of the channels to work apart from ones i already have via sky ie eurosport , bbc4 etc etc
I have downloaded Adobe flashplayer & sopcast which it said was needed to run but still cant see most of the channels
Should have asked here first , had the idea of running this through the laptop onto tv
    Has anyone tried this ?
This all started with a google and a site called tv elite , stated as 3000+ channels free but inevitably ended up at the tvtopc site requesting a one off payment of £23

Zattoo http://zattoo.com/ is the obvious free program, I have used it just fine when the main TV is occupied. It will only give you Freeview UK Channels plus a couple of Foreign public ones.

If you use an online service to watch Live Freewiew and connect to a real TV what you have is an expensive TV aerial.

All the online services that claim to offer Sky premium content are dodgy and will not remain in existence. Then there are the ones that offer free public TV from other countries, these are borderline and may stay in existence as the TV providers cannot be bothered to take legal action.

Until Sky come out with a licensed online version (with similar fees to Sky itself of course) I would AVOID dodgy products and try Zattoo,
