Hi wondering if someone can help!
When I click on a google search result, I am sent to random websites. If I 'back' and try again it usually sends me to the right website on the 3rd or 4th attempt. Have tried Trojan remover, Malwarebytes anti-malware, spybot search and destroy and avast. Also run windows defender and microsoft security essentials. AVG was replaced by all of the above after the problem started and I was in a mood...!! am using Vista and ie8. Have had other problems as well but these seem to have stopped, including- v slow running computer/programmes freezing/various windows errors, particularly 'cardspace'.
any ideas? Can give more information if you tell me how
Thanks in advance,
Debs

HijackThis - full scan, don't fix anything, just post the log0
-
My first thought is that you have a rogue IE add-on.
I'd reset all of the IE settings to default. You can do this in a few clicks:- Click Tools -> Internet Options
- Click the 'Advanced' Tab
- Click 'Restore Advanced Settings'
- and finally, click 'Reset...' at the bottom,
- ...and check the 'delete personal settings' box.
- When that's done, close and restart IE to test.
See if that works as a quick fix...0 -
Thankyou!!!
