Can anyone tell me if i can use section 75 to obtain money back from a car garage.
I recently had some work done on my car and was not satisfied. I went back and they took another look, but did still not resolve my issues. I then went to another garage who amended my problems.
The bill was £280 from first garage and i paid using my mastercard credit card. Can i use section 75 to try and claw this money back?
Has anyone done this?
Many Thanks

Ok,
after fitting bigger injectors to my vehicle. I needed a remap which would help smooth things out and fix an idle issue (van ran lumpy on idle).
First remapper did remap but van did not run correctly on idle.
Returned a few days later and complained and he tried again, but still no good. He said no more he could do as he had tried everything he could. I told him i wasnt happy and asked him to remove his remap because the vehicle didnt run as it should.
I then visited another remapper who was able to sort all problems first time.
Now i have had to payed twice when the first guy did not have the expertise to do job first time round.
Where do i stand???
Any ideas welcomed. As said, i did pay first mapper using credit card.

I think you will need to go trading strandards, section 75 wont cover something like that0

Ok, thought i maybe able to use secction 75 as its kind of like receiving faulty goods.

I thought the goods were fine just the fitting was poor?0

I'm guessing the 'remap' (whatever that might be
) was what the OP paid £280 for, and this service wasn't up to scratch.
Assuming that's so, and Section 75 covers goods and services I would have thought you could claim.0 -
