Can you request a cheque refund instead of an account credit?

Just had a PPI refund for my Egg Card - which they've credited straight to my Egg Card account... is this fair?? I.e. i'd prefer a cheque... or am I being cheeky?

Hello there.;)
If you have no arrears you can request they send you a cheque payment.
Tell them you were out of pocket due to this and prefer you had your refund sent directly to you in a form of a cheque.
No your not being cheeky its your money, did they actually admit liability or was this a goodwill offer?
Well done to you anyway.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Thanks for that -- I'll definitely request a cheque if and when my Egg Loan reclaim comes through too (i'm being optimistic - but the circumstances were exactly the same as for the Egg Card account!)0

Egg are the stickiest when it comes to refunding directly to you and not against your credit card or loan.
From reading the forums recently, they seem to have become a bit more flexible with loan PPI reufnds although I still have one with the FOS. They refunded the full amount to my loan and reduced my end date which I thought was unfair. That refund could have cleared more expensive debt.
Good luck!0
