Time for you to vote on what you think house prices will do in 2010.
Now that the "crash" is over and house prices are starting to rise healthily, what do you think 2010 holds?

How much will house prices rise by in 2010? 68 votes

No real movement: +/- 2%
Maybe more childish bickering and name-calling because one person made a better guess than another about if a house would cost more or less by the end of the year?nollag2006 wrote: »Now that the "crash" is over and house prices are starting to rise healthily, what do you think 2010 holds?0 -

+3% to +8% for me.
Supply shortage continues, mortgage lending continuing to improve, rates to stay low all year.
The election should dent activity with a lot of people waiting to see if anything changes. But as nothing much will actually change, no matter who wins, we should be back on track by the end of the year.
2011 and 2012 will see much higher HPI than 2010 though.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

-3 to -10%Not wishing to complain but the poll answers seem to be slightly different between + and -. I can't work out if you think -70% is a loon, or if +15% is. Reminds me of a poll that Tony Blair held for re-election a few years back, amazingly most people gave the wrong answer.0

I think it is going to be up a bit, down a bit and wiggle around the same bit....not necessarily in that order. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I think it might be up.
But then again I think it might be down.
And I'm torn between those two and pretty much flat.
In other words, based on the background, and the forthcoming election, and the !!!!!! hitting the fan and covering the UK in the stuff after the election, I haven't got a damn clue and don't want to be on the list of names when this poll is dragged up in 10 months time with lots of rolling heads and "told you so's".0 -
